Gerard Malouf

Principal Compensation Solicitor

One of the ways to aptly describe Gerard Malouf is through a well-known John C. Maxwell quote which goes: “Leaders must be close enough to relate to others, but far enough ahead to motivate them.” Gerard’s upbringing instilled diligence, excellence, concern for others, and an unwavering belief in justice under law–traits which moulded and have continued to guide Gerard as a lawyer and Accredited Specialist in Personal Injury/Negligence for almost three decades.

Gerard believes that anyone can accomplish anything in their lives by setting goals, applying themselves, and saying their prayers. He also adheres to the following life lessons:

“Never be afraid to help those around you and use the skills and powers that you have to do good for others, as it will find its way back to you someday. If you live by this motto you will have a happy and peaceful life.”

Success and happiness are not products of luck; they come about through a great deal of hard work and commitment.”

As for dealing with clients, Gerard says it is necessary to give each the consideration, sincerity, compassion, and empathy that they need and deserve. Otherwise, Gerard said, “we might as well be not practising law.” Through Gerard’s example and leadership, the firm’s culture shares this conviction as well. These same qualities have served as Gerard’s guiding principles in establishing and managing the firm’s various branches throughout the state.

Gerard took up Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Laws and majored in politics at the University of New South Wales in Randwick. He became an Accredited Specialist in Personal Injury in 1993 and a founding member of the Australian Plaintiff Lawyers Association (now known as the Australian Lawyers Alliance) when it started in 1994. Gerard is also a member of the Brain Injury Association and the American Trial Lawyers Association.

Gerard is a father of four with a deep love of sports and the great outdoors. He enjoys camping, game fishing, hunting, motocross riding, sports car racing, and water-skiing.

Because of Gerard’s confidence in winning your case, the firm abides by a No Win, No Fee policy (which is dependent on certain conditions).
