Johanna Fisher is a valued member of the team at Sydney Criminal Lawyers, having been trained by our Senior Lawyers for over a year before joining our criminal defence team.

Johanna completed her practical legal training under the careful supervision and direction of our Principal Ugur Nedim and Senior Lawyer Mitchell Cavanagh, which enabled her to develop extensive knowledge of criminal law, and process and procedure.

This experience has allowed her to develop techniques to effectively run criminal cases, get criminal and traffic charges dropped, and thoroughly prepare complex matters that proceed to a defended hearing or jury trial.

Johanna is experienced in a range of criminal and traffic matters, from drink driving, drug possession and common assault right up to District and Supreme Court trials for serious charges including Sexual Assaults.

Johannau2019s trial preparation frequently involves:

  • Obtaining medical and forensic reports
  • Meticulously examining evidence to help find problems with the prosecution case
  • Liaising with psychologists, police prosecutors and prison security services
  • Examination of proposed exhibits
  • Detailed legal research specific to each clientu2019s case
  • Comprehensively briefing our Senior Lawyers and Barristers

Johanna has a passion for social justice and indigenous issues, having previously volunteered at the Aboriginal Legal Service at Redfern.

Her special areas of interest include:
