John Spencer




John Gray Spencer was admitted as a solicitor in 1963. After practising as a solicitor for many years, he was admitted as a barrister-at-law in 1980. In his 33 years at the Bar he has appeared in many trials, including sexual assault, conspiracy and drug matters and has represented defendants in over 70 murder trials.

He was also Principal Counsel for the Ship Painters and Dockers Union in the Costigan Royal Commission.
