Luke McKavanagh




Luke practices in the areas of franchising law, commercial law and property matters. He assists clients who are franchisors and franchisees in the grant, renewal and sale of franchised businesses, as well as general business sales and leasing. Luke also manages the firmu2019s residential conveyancing and has assisted may clients to buy their first home.

Luke was admitted as lawyer of the Supreme Court of Queensland in January 2013. He studied at Griffith University where he received a Bachelor of Laws with Honours, a Bachelor of Arts and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice. Luke was awarded the Griffith University Honourable Michael Kirby Award for his honours thesis by the former High Court Justice himself.

Prior to joining the team at Bywaters Timms, Luke gained experience in property and commercial mattersby clerking in Brisbane and Gold Coast law firms. He also has a background in the equestrian industry.
