Stephen was educated at Sydney Grammar School and commenced his career as a lawyer following his admission in 1994 at Blake Dawson Waldron, one of Australia’s premier Law firms. He practised in commercial and insurance litigation and undertook work for companies including BHP, Woolworths, State Transit Authority and many others.

After completion of his Master of Laws in 2001, he commenced employment at Herbert Geer & Rundle, solicitors heading up the Sydney office. His major areas of practise comprised of commercial and insurance litigation working for major companies including Woolworths, Coles, Lend Lease, Bovis Lend Lease, GPT and others. As part of that role, he was in charge of managing staff, supervising lawyers, and managing the Sydney office.

In 2004 Stephen established Boyd-Boland Law with a view to providing expert advice, exceptional service and outstanding results to individuals and businesses in Sydney. Stephen acts for major companies including Lend Lease, insurance companies and other commercial entities and provides contractual and litigation advice to major organisations including large Architect groups.

He acts for many individual clients primarily acting in building disputes, property matters, family law matters, estate planning and criminal matters.
